Rainforest Extension Activity - Make a Tribal Drum

What you need

 Step by step

• Drinking cups (styrofoam, plastic or paper)
• Glue
• Masking tape
• Permanent markers
• Shoe polish (optional)
• Rags (optional)

• Glue two cups together (bottom to bottom) and let dry.
• Using masking tape, completely cover the opening at the top and bottom of the cups.
• Completely cover the outside of the cups with masking tape.
• Brush shoe polish all over the masking tape covered cups and then wipe off with rags. (optional step - this is to achieve the colour of a tribal drum)
• draw geometric or other designs around the top, middle and bottom of the drums with permanent markers.
